The house of Dr Umar Un Nabi, suspected of driving the car that exploded near Delhi’s Red Fort killing 13 people, was demolished by security forces in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir.
Investigators established that the Hyundai i20 involved in the blast was driven by Dr Umar un‑Nabi, matching his DNA with samples found at the site and collected from his mother. Following arrests of his associates in Faridabad, including two doctors alleged to have gathered nearly 2,900 kg of explosive materials and sophisticated weaponry, authorities believe he acted in panic.
Officials say the case reveals a troubling shift: terror networks reportedly recruiting educated professionals and operating under white‑collar cover, with links to groups such as Jaish‑e‑Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat ul‑Hind. The demolition of the house is considered part of a deterrent strategy against such modules.
